Audrey Faith Perry Hill attended Hinds Community College but
dropped out after the first semester to pursue a career in singing
and moved to Nashville for that purpose. In 1988 Faith married
Daniel Hill, an employee at a music publishing company, and spent
the next few years singing in clubs. Eventually, she was spotted by
record executive Martha Sharp and signed to Warner Brothers Records.
Since then, Faith has had a string of hits including "It Matters to
Me," "This Kiss," "Breathe" and "Cry." She married country singer,
Tim McGraw in October, 1996. They are now parents to two young
daughters, Gracie and Maggie. Songs such as "Breathe" and "This
Kiss" helped blur the lines between country and pop, where beautiful
Faith soars on both charts. Faith is considered one of the few
artists to have successfully crossed over from the country to the
pop genre.
